Vision for Cagebirds Performance
1) How do you imagine the character distribution will work , or how do you see each of the class having a role to play? Explain.
- As discussed in class, the 6 characters with the mental issues are being given to the people most suited in the batch according to the teacher's judgement. The rest of the people will also be given the roles. One of them will be mistress and another will be the wild one. The others will be thoughts of the characters. Each thought and character is equally important and will have almost the same amount of lines .
2) How do you envision the costumes we will use as a cast? Explain your ideas.
- In the videos that we saw in class, the people that were being controlled were wearing all white while the people controlling were wearing all black. We could use this as the characters could be in white and the thoughts could be black. This shows that the thoughts are sort of controlling the characters. Other than this the characters would use props to match their roles. Ex: twitting could use a click pen to showcase nervousness

3) What role would you be interested in taking and why?
- The role that I would be interested in would be Twitting because I think I fit the character well. I am able to showcase a sense of nervousness in my tone. I can click the pen to showcase my nervousness and tap my foot easily too. My tone is anxious and easy to comprehend for the audience.

4) Do you think we should include physical theatre and movement sequences? If so, how?
- We will be doing the physical theatre piece at the beginning as discussed in which there are three groups and a singer. This piece helps the audience put the pieces together and figure out themselves that the characters suffer from mental issues. I would like to include another physical theatre piece for the thoughts of the characters as they will probably have the fewest lines. We could also include a physical theatre piece to show how the thoughts control the characters. If we have only only 1 physical theatre piece, then the play would seem incomplete.

5) Any other thoughts about the set design, performance location, use of sound or music ideas?
-As discussed, the play is deeper than meets the eye. Using the physical pieced the costume, the audience would be intrigued. The audience could be sat where the stage was ( we will take it out for the time being ) and the 'stage' could be bigger and there is more space for the characters and thoughts. We can use the music in the first physical theatre piece as a voice (me)

Great, you have clearly explained your ideas and have a good understanding of the themes behind the play text.To get a higher grade you could have considered concepts that we did not already discuss in class and found images to influence and inspire you. You have demonstrated some creativity but try to think outside the box or look at other performances in order to influence you. You need to have your own original ideas for the highest grades. 4/8 Criteria C
